New Generations Service

In April of 2010, Rotary International's Council on Legislation established the fifth Avenue of Service for all Rotarians. The Avenue of New Generations recognizes the positive change implemented by youth and young adults involved in leadership development activities, community and international service projects and exchange programs that enrich and foster world peace and cultural understanding. It also reiterates Rotary's commitment to service to youth at the community and world levels.
Included within the New Generations Avenue of Service are:
RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Award
Slapshot - Student Leadership Award Program for Students High on Training
Rotoract - a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30.
Interact - Rotary International's service club for young people ages 14 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting.
EarlyAct - a school-wide service club for elementary students from ages 5 to 13. It is sponsored by one of the local Rotary clubs in the township in which the school is located. The mission and operation of EarlyAct are closely linked to the ideals of Rotary and provide the foundation and natural succession into Interact.
